WAUPACA COUNTY CEMETERIES The Waupaca County cemeteries were read by Wayne and Alta Guyant in the 1970's. The Guyant Collection includes a general index which also includes veteran and maiden names with each cemetery of Portage, Waupaca and Waushara Counties and have been microfilmed. You may be able to obtain the microfilm through your local library and the interlibrary loan system OR your local Family History Library. The information following each cemetery under the heading of Microfilm Information gives you the Family History Library number of the film on which the said cemetery is listed. Index A-H FHL #1306428

1970s Unknown man drowned on a log drive on the Wolf River, buried near the river where he drowned. The only marker are some lilac bushes. The name and dates are not known, but would date back to the late 1800's. This was told to me by Albert Hahn, who's land this grave is on, Section 31, Fremont Township. To find this grave go straight north of Albert Hahn's house along the east side of the weeds, to the fence row, turn left go west toward the Wolf River. |
