Willis L. Strike

Willis L. Strike, age 83, of Waupaca, Wisconsin, died Thursday, October 28th, 2004 at Riverside Medical Center. After a valiant struggle with congestive heart failure, he passed into eternity and now, as one who placed his faith and trust in Jesus Christ, will be with the Lord forever (1 Thessalonians 4:17b). Willis was born in the Town of Lanark, Portage County, Wisconsin on June 4, 1921, the son of the late Leon J. and Margaret (Wanty) Strike. On February 27, 1945, Willis married Dolores Doerfler.
 
He is survived by his wife: Dolores Strike, Waupaca, Wisconsin; his son: Gary (Violet) Strike, Waupaca, Wisconsin, two daughters: Selene (Jerry) Finch, Neenah, Wisconsin; Patricia (Don) Weiland, Winneconne, Wisconsin, three grandchildren: Debrah (Curt) Nauber-Finch, Neenah, Wisconsin; James (Debbie) Strike, Waupaca, Wisconsin and Jeff (Elle) Strike of Minneapolis, MN; two Great Grandchildren: Amanda Finch and Joshua Nauber-Finch; his brother: Grant (Joy) Strike, California.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Leon and five sisters, Margie, Elynore, Evelyn, Lucille and Jeanette.
 
MEMORIAL SERVICES will be held 5 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2004 at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with Father Paul Vanden Hogen and Reverend Gary Strike officiating. Burial of Cremains will take place in St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca. A visitation will be held on Monday from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.

Dolores V. Strike
 
Dolores V. Strike of Waupaca, Wis., died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005 at Riverside Medical Center. She was born in Waupaca, Wis. on July 5, 1925, the daughter of Frank and Pearl (Sether) Doerfler. Dolores married Willis "Bill" Strike on Feb. 27, 1945, in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 2004. Dolores was also preceded in death by her father.
 
She is survived by her son, Gary (Violet) Strike, Waupaca, Wis.; daughters, Selene (Jerry) Finch, Neenah, Wis. and Patricia (Don) Weiland, Winneconne, Wis.; mother, Pearl Doerfler, Waupaca, Wis.; grandchildren, Debbi (Curt) Nauber-Finch, Neenah, Wis.; James (Debbie) Strike, Waupaca, Wis.; and Jeffery (Elle) Strike, Minneapolis, Minn.;
great-grandchildren, Amanda Finch and Joshua Nauber-Finch; brother, Everett (Dorothy) Doerfler, Appleton, Wis.; and a sister, Donna Schuelke, Fremont, Wisconsin.
 
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with the Reverend Dr. Charles L. Tews and the Reverend Gary Strike officiating. Burial of the cremains will be in St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the service. Dolores' unconditional love and compassion for her family will be deeply missed.

Lorenz P. Moberg

Lorenz P. Moberg, a former resident of Amherst, died Thursday morning at 6:30 o'clock at his home at Waupaca. Ho had been In ill health since January when hr suffered a slight stroke. He had been confined to bed for the past week,

Mr. Moberg was born at Amherst on December 23, 1875. He attended school at Amherst and on September 12, 1899, ho was married to Margaret Cooney of the town of Lanark. After their marriage they lived several years In Lanark. Mr. Moberg was engaged for a time in potato buying. In 1928 Mr. and Mrs. Moberg moved to Waupaca and for the past, five years he had been district manager for the J. R. Beggs company of St. Paul and for Bacon Brothers, who took over the Beggs business.

Mr. Moberg is survived by his wife, two children, Lia1 of Chicago and Mrs. M. Palm of Chicago, and two grandchildren. A son, Andrew, preceded him In death on November 25, 1920. He also leaves two brothers, J. Leonard Moberg, editor of the Amheret Advocate, and Dell Moberg of Amherst, three sisters, Mrs. C, S. Bumpus of Lake Tomahawk, Mrs. M. Hutte at Seattle, Washington, and Mrs. L. R.
Harmon, Snohomish, Washington.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary Magdalene church with burial in Lakeside cemetery.

Walter R. Wollering

Walter R. Wollering, 91, Waupaca, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point.
 
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca, with the Rev. Jeffrey Holtan and the Rev. Aaron Winkelman officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca.
 
Visitation will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the service.
 
A memorial has been established in lieu of flowers to the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church - Building Fund or to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Wollering was born May 6, 1917, in Milwaukee, a son of the late Ernst and Rose (Icke) Wollering. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1941 to 1944.
 
Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
 
He was married to Mary Jane Prondzinski in August 1944 at the chapel at the Naval Academy. She died on Jan. 30, 1970.
 
He was married to Patricia Murray on Sept. 30, 1972, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
 
He worked as a metallurgical/welding engineer for Ladish Co. Inc. in Cudahy for 36 years before his retirement in 1983.
 
He was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca.
 
Survivors include his wife, Pat Wollering, Waupaca; two sons, Max (Sue), Menomonee Falls, and Ernst (Paula Schmitt), Hales Corners; and two grandchildren.
 
He was also preceded in death by one baby through miscarriage; two infant twin daughters, Rosemary and Kathleen Wollering; one daughter, Linda Sue Wollering; and four siblings, Eleanor Will, Raymond Will, Dorothy Gruenwald and Lester Will.

Belvina H. Madson, 86, Scandinavia, sister of a Stevens Point woman, died Friday, July 20, 2007, at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, with the Rev. Brian Belongia officiating. Interment will be in the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca.

Visitation will be at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the Mass. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A memorial has been established in lieu of flowers.

Mrs. Madson was born Jan. 25, 1921, in the town of Harrison in Waupaca, a daughter of the late Alexander and Helen (Lorbiecki) Kostuch. She attended Norske Grade School.

She worked at the Peterson Restaurant and then at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King.

She was married to Julian Madson on Oct. 16, 1943, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca.

They farmed in Sheridan for three years and then moved to the town of Scandinavia and farmed until 2000.

She was a member or St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and was active in the St. Catherine's Guild. She was a 4-H leader.

Survivors include her husband; two sisters, Loretta Eiden, Stevens Point, and Bernice Rucinski, Schofield; one daughter-in-law, Pam Madson, Scandinavia; two grandchildren; and one stepgrandson.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Stephen J.; her stepmother, Katherine (Lorbiecki) Kostuch; three brothers, Benedict, Leo and Chester Kostuch; and one infant brother, Ambrose Kostuch.

Richard E. "Dick" Walkush, 72, Waupaca, father of two Amherst men, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community, with the Rev. Brian Belongia officiating.

Visitation will be at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the Mass.

Mr. Walkush was born April 19, 1938, a son of the late Edward F. and Catherine (Lapinski) Walkush.

He was married to Nancy Dombrowski on Aug. 27, 1960.

He raised Komorner and Old German Owl show pigeons, and was a woodworker and woodcarver.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Cheri (Wayne) Kelly, Waupaca; three sons, Tim and Michael (Sonya), both of Amherst, and Rick (Heidi), Waupaca; one sister, Jean (Gene) Moss; three brothers, Gere (Shirley), Gordy (Mary) and Mark (Ann); 11 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Raymond A. Wanty

Raymond A. Wanty, 77, Waupaca, a town of Lanark native and brother of an Almond woman, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at his residence.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, with the Rev. Brian Belongia officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca.

Mr. Wanty was born July 29, 1933, in the town of Lanark in Portage County, a son of the late Alfred C. and Edna (Boushley) Wanty.

He served in the U.S. Air Force.

He was married to Beverly Gall on June 30, 1956, at the Main Chapel of the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. She died on March 13, 2003.

He worked at the Waupaca Foundry for more than 32 years.

Survivors include five sons, Anthony "Tony," Glen (Marion) and Ron, all of Waupaca; Phillip (Jody), Cannon Falls, Minn., and David (Alice), Charlesburg; two daughters, Mary (John) Mason, Waupaca, and Kathy Wanty, Sheboygan; four sisters, Dorothy Peskie, Almond; Norma Schultz, Waupaca; Mary (Paul) Frazer, Bowie, Md., and Shirley (David) Strange, Appleton; one brother, Richard (Arylene), Waupaca; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Robert; three brothers, Leore "Bud," William and Lloyd; two sisters, Marge Pryse and Phyllis Stiebs; and one granddaughter.

Mrs. Knight was born Jan. 20, 1920, in the town of Buena Vista, a daughter of the late Archie and Ethel (Pierce) Smith.

She was married to Everett Knight on Dec. 24, 1941, in Waupaca. He died on March 23, 1999.

She had been a school teacher for a few years at the former Barton School near Waupaca.

Survivors include three daughters, Patricia (David) Brophy, St. Louis, Mo., Donna (James) Wyant, Clinton, Tenn., and Mary Abrahamson, Waupaca; one son, Michael (Nola), Amherst; two sisters, Norma Smith and Beverly Smith, both of Appleton; and seven grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Alice, Evelyn, Marion and Velma; and one brother, Floyd Smith.

David G. Charles, 68, Iola, a former longtime teacher and coach at Pacelli High School in Stevens Point, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca.
 
The funeral liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, with the Rev. John Becker officiating.
 
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday at the church until the services.

Mr. Charles was born Aug. 4, 1935, in Green Bay, a son of the late George and Ludmilla (Pollack) Charles. He graduated from St. Patrick Junior High School in Maple Grove in 1951 and from Reedsville High School in 1953.
 
He received his bachelor's of science degree in history from St. Norbert College in June 1958 and his master's of science in teaching history degree from the University Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Aug. 8, 1969.
 
He was married to Jeanne Rice on Jan. 11, 1964, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa.
 
After completing college he was an instructor at Roosevelt Military Academy in Illinois for three years, and received the rank of captain. He then taught at Iola-Scandinavia High School for two years.
 
He taught at Pacelli High School for 35 years. While at Pacelli, he was head of the Social Studies Department and a member of the La Crosse Diocese Social Studies Committee. He was an honorary member of the Christian Brothers Society.
 
While teaching, he also coached football, basketball and track for each school.
 
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne; one son, Dominic (Cheryl), Iola; three daughters, Deborah (Donald) Waldvogal, Sedona, Ariz., Jolie (Ty) Phillips, Waupaca, and Jill (Eric) Helgeson, Iola; one sister, Georgia (Dan) Rabideau, Grimms; and 10 grandchildren.

Lillian M. "Lil" Kubisiak, 81, Waupaca, a former Amherst area resident and a former owner of the Oakwood restaurant in Waupaca, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at her residence.
 
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community in Waupaca, with the Rev. Brian Belongia officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca.
 
Visitation will be at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday until the Mass. A Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Auxiliary service will be held at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Friday and a prayer service will be held at 8 p.m.
 
Memorials appreciated to Portage County Hospice, American Cancer Society and St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.

Mrs. Kubisiak was born Nov. 21, 1925, in Chicago, Ill., a daughter of the late Martin and Helen Michalek. She was raised in Chicago.
 
She was married to Paul Kubisiak on June 10, 1945.
 
While he was in the Army, they lived in South Carolina before taking over the family farm in the Amherst area, where they raised eight children and were foster parents to more than 15 children.
 
She worked at the Tomorrow River Supper Club until 1968 when they decided to purchase the Oakwood in Waupaca. After their eldest son Martin took over the family farm, they moved to Waupaca in the spring of 1969. They sold the Oakwood in 1989 after it had grown from a small restaurant that seated 35 people to one of the largest banquet and catering facilities in the area with a capacity of more than 500 people.
 
After retirement she remained active in many groups and organizations. She volunteered for more than 2,000 hours at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.
 
She was a member and chaplain of the VFW Auxiliary Post 1037, American Legion Auxiliary Post 161 and St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church of Waupaca. She was also a member of the St. Mary of Mount Carmel Rosary Society in Fancher for more than 50 years. She was an active participant on her American Cancer Society Relay for Life team.
 
Survivors include her husband; one son, Martin (Barb), Amherst; six daughters, Paulette McCarty, Christine Michaels, Helen (Tom) Halverson, Vicky Seeger, Elaine (Daryl) Wanner and Lisa (George) Dowhen, all of Waupaca; one sister, Loretta Walendzinski, Chicago, Ill.; 22 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Steven; and one brother, John Michalek.

Jeanne A. Charles, 63, Iola, a former accountant in Plover, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at the Crystal River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Waupaca.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca. Burial will be in St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Charles was born Nov. 9, 1944, in Iola, a daughter of Eunice (Krohn) Bestul and the late Ernest Rice.
 
She was married to David Charles on Jan. 11, 1964, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa. He died Dec. 1, 2003.
 
She had worked as an accountant for Del Monte in Plover.
 
Survivors include one son, Dominic (Cheryl) Charles, Iola; three daughters, Deborah (Donald) Waldvogal, Sedona, Ariz., Jolie (Ty) Phillips, Waupaca, and Jill (Eric) Helgeson, Eagle River; her mother, Eunice Bestul, Iola; one brother, David (Mary Ann) Rice, Iola; and 11 grandchildren.

Phillip H. Swenson

Phillip H. Swenson, 88, Iola, a town of New Hope native and brother of two Portage County women, died Friday, May 16, 2008, at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the North New Hope Lutheran Church in the town of New Hope, with the Rev. John Poffinbarger officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca.
 
Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the services.
 
The Voie Funeral Home of Iola is in charge of arrangements.
 
Mr. Swenson was born Feb. 5, 1920, in the town of New Hope, a son of the late Perry and Hazel (Danielson) Swenson.
 
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, with the 101st Airborne Division in Europe.
 
He was married to Julia Dul on Dec. 18, 1948, in Milwaukee. She died on Dec. 29, 2004.
 
He and his wife operated a dairy farm in the town of Iola in Waupaca County until retirement.
 
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Swenson, New London, Jeannie (Steve) Hubing, Wausau, and Gloria (Kelly) Schattl, Kaukauna; three sons, David, Robert and Roger (Lori), all of Iola; two sisters, Mildred Hagen, Rosholt, and Donna (Arnie) Dunbar, Bancroft; and four grandchildren.
 
He was also preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey; one brother, Norris; and two sisters, Irene Rosenquist and Eleanor Brooks.

Margaret E. "Peg" Fleege, 83, Waupaca, mother of two Stevens Point women, died Saturday, May 6, 2006, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Green Bay following a brief battle with cancer.
 
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 12, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community Church in Waupaca, with the Rev. James Vennix officiating. Internment of cremains will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
 
A memorial visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until the service.
 
Contributions will be forwarded to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

Mrs. Fleege was born Dec. 23, 1922, in Rewey, a daughter of the late Walter and Mabel (Enloe) Hansen. She graduated from the Cuba City High School in 1940 and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1943 with a degree in elementary education.
 
She taught at Westby, Beaver Dam, Wausau and Dochester/Unity, retiring in 1983.
 
She was married to Dalton Fleege in July 1944.
 
They moved 33 times around the country during their marriage and traveled extensively, including to China, Japan, Portugal, Spain, Morocco and often to Mexico.
 
She volunteered for many programs, including special education programs in Texas, the Veterans Home in King, and a campground host in national forests with her husband.
 
She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Waupaca.
 
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Madge (Woody) Bishop and Dru Peters, both of Stevens Point, two sons, Drake (Kathy), Hartford, and Clark (Judy), Boise, Idaho; one brother, Randall (Jane) Hansen, Minneapolis, Minn.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Evelyn Augustinak

Evelyn Augustinak, 77, Waupaca, a Stevens Point native, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, with the Rev. James Vennix officiating. Burial of cremains will be St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery in Waupaca.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Augustinak was born July 29, 1924, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Peter and Anne (Dulak) Yenter.

She was married to Peter Augustinak on May 20, 1950, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt.

She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Linda A. Barrigas, Corona, Calif.; three sons, Cary (Linda), Oak Creek, Randall A. (Debbie), Amherst Junction, and Peter Jr., Slinger; two sisters, Bernice Swendrzynski, Rosholt, and Lorraine (Ronald) Kedrowicz, Almond; two brothers, Leonard (Muriel) Yenter, Amherst Junction, and Richard (Lorraine) Yenter, Rosholt; three grandchildren; and two step grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanore Trzebiatowski and Gladys Ziolkowski; and three brothers, Larry, Gerald and Raymond Yenter.

Elaine B. Oldakowski

Elaine B. Oldakowski, 68, Waupaca, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at Weyauwega Health Care Center.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Waupaca, with the Rev. John Becker officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.

Elaine was born April 1, 1933, in the Shawano County town of Morris, a daughter of the late Floyd and Nellie (Low) Buckholt. She was married to Steven Oldakowski on July 1, 1950, at St. John's Catholic Church, Heffron.

Survivors include her husband, Steven, Waupaca; one daughter, Marjorie (Bill) Sarnowski, Waupaca; three sons, Steve (Linda) Oldakowski, Gene Oldakowski and Ben Oldakowski, all of Appleton; nine grandchildren, Jaime Stephens, Jill Oldakowski, Jana Oldakowski, Jada Sarnowski, Jonas Sarnowski, Nathan Abrahamson, Amber Oldakowski, Joseph Oldakowski and Lindsey Oldakowski; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Nancy Degler, Almond, Mary Adams, Oconomowoc, Sherry (Richard) Hunkins, Bancroft, Brenda (Ken) Batten, Waupaca, and Taffy (Jim) Morgan, Amherst; two brothers, Gerald (Lila) Buckholt, Weyauwega, and Jay (Theresa) Buckholt, Plainfield; two brothers-in-law, Dan Morgan, Amherst, and Donald Murray, Berlin; special friends, Curt and Kathy Eddy; and many other relatives and friends.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Sue Abrahamson, two brothers and two sisters.

Steven J. Oldakowski

Steven J. Oldakowski, 73, Waupaca, an Almond native, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at Weyauwega Health Care Center.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, with the Rev. John Becker officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca.

A memorial has been established in lieu of flowers.

Mr. Oldakowski was born Feb. 14, 1930, in Almond, a son of the late Ben and Martha (Jazdzewski) Oldakowski.

He was married to Elaine Buckholt on July 1, 1950, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Heffron in the town of Belmont. She died Feb. 27, 2002.

Survivors include one daughter, Marjorie (Bill) Sarnowski, Waupaca; three sons, Steve (Linda), Waupaca, Gene, Appleton, and Ben, Mauston; two brothers, Ed, Milwaukee, and Chet, Wisconsin Rapids; one sister Janett (Bill) McCarthy, Amherst; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sue Abrahamson; and one sister, Bernice Neijdl.

Harold G. Helbach


Services were held Wednesday morning at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Waupaca. for Harold G. Helbach. 40 of the Town of Farmington
Waupaca County) a native of the Town of Buena Vista.

Mr. Helbach owned and operated a heavy equipment and road construction business, as well as owning livestock.

He died unexpectedly at his home early Monday morning. He was in apparent good health until then.

The Rev. Michael S. Wasniewski officiated at the funeral, with burial made in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Helbach was born Dec. 24, 1920. a son of the late George Helbach and Mrs. Neva Helbach, who lives at Route 1, Amherst.

He married Fern Jensen in the Town of Lanark April 11, 1942.

Surviving are the widow; three sons, Richard, Bruce and Victor, at home; his mother: three brothers. James and David Helbach, Amherst, and Robert, in the Marine Corps: and four sisters, Mrs. Henry Prochnofski, Menasha, Mrs. Ronald Riley, Town of Lanark, Mrs. Stanley Turzinski, Town of Buena Vista, and Mrs. Donald Shulfer, Milwaukee.

Louella Dineen

Funeral services are pending at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola for Louella Dineen, 64, Iola, who died at 6:40 a.m. today at St. Michael's Hospital.

She had been a patient at the hospital since Wednesday.

Dineen Rites Set

Funeral services have been set for Mrs. Claude Dineen, 64, Village of Iola, for many years the chairman of the American Cancer Fund drive for the Township and Village of Iola.

The Rev. Michael Wasniewski will officiate at the services, scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, of which she was a member.

Burial will take place later in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola, where a general
rosary is scheduled for 8 o'clock this evening.

Mrs. Dineen, the former Louella Ebert, was born Oct. 8, 1901, in Amherst, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Ebert. On Nov. 16, 1920, she married Claude Dineen at Amherst.

The couple lived in Amherst until moving to the Town of Iola for six years, and then to the Village of Iola. where they have resided for the past 22 years. Mr. Dineen is a retired cattle dealer.

She was a member of the St Mary Magdalene Parish Ladies Sodality, the Iola American Legion Auxiliary, the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary of Manawa, and the Iola Rural Woman's Club.

Surviving are her husband: three daughters, Mrs. Norman (Mabel) Gullikson, Kingston, Tex., Mrs. Justin (Mildred) Bestul, Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. Marion (JoAnn) Thompson, New London; two sons, Harold Dineen, Caledonia, Minn., and Donald Dineen, Springfield, Va.: three brothers, John and William Ebert, Milwaukee, and Ralph Ebert, Madison; one sister, Mrs. James (Lucille) Tews, Point Comfort, Tex.; and 11 grandchildren.

Two brothers and two infant sisters preceded her in death. A memorial fund for the American Cancer Society has been established in Mrs. Dineen’s name.
