Thomas R. Suprise

Thomas R. Suprise, 56, 3230 Guenther Road, Mosinee, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau.
 
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Beste Funeral Home in Mosinee, with the Rev. Donald Przybylski officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Cemetery in Bear Creek.
 
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and again from 9 a.m. Thursday until the services.
 
Mr. Surprise was born March 31, 1949, in New London, a son of the late Eugene and Kathryn (Thorp) Suprise. He was 1967 valedictorian of his class in Bear Creek High School and was a 1971 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
 
He was married to Jennifer Jupp on April 8, 1978, in Las Vegas, Nev.
 
He served in the Army National Guard from 1971 to 1980 as a staff sergeant in A Company, 1st Battalion, 127th Infantry, out of Clintonville.
 
For the past 21 years he was active with the Portage County 4-H State Fair Dairy Club.
 
He was employed at Health Care Billing Specialist in Wausau.
 
Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Lyle (Cathy Sue), Ashburn, Va., and Patrick (Susan), Appleton; two sisters, Karen (Max) Benson, Coal City, Ill., and Kathleen (John) Markiewicz, Chicago Heights, Ill.; and nieces and nephews.
 
 He was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Olevsky, and two  brothers, Jay and Wayne.
