Ruth L. Trinrud, 82, New Sharon, Iowa, formerly of Scandinavia, died Sunday, April 14, 2002, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center, Grinnell, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Scandinavia Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, town of Farmington. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Voie Funeral Home, Iola.

Ruth was born Oct. 3, 1919, in Chicago, a daughter of the late Curtis R. and Lillian K. (Ness) Hanson. She was married to Gordon Trinrud on Sept. 15, 1938, in Dubuque, Iowa. He died April 10, 1994. She and her husband had owned Gordon's Bar, Scandinavia.

Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Carbiener, Appleton, Virginia 'Diane' (Gerald) Buettner, Anoka, Minn., and Lori (Daniel) Carmichael, New Sharon, Iowa; and two sisters, June (Neal) Cox, Rocky Hill, Conn., and Patricia (Donald) McGovern, Wethersfield, Conn.

Donna J. (Boutwell) Erickson, 68, Waupaca, stepmother of an Almond woman, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, at Appleton Medical Center in Appleton.
 
A private family visitation was held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. Burial was at Salem (Swede) Lutheran Cemetery in the town of Farmington in Waupaca County.
 
The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.hollyfuneralhome.com.
 
Mrs. Erickson was born May 25, 1938, in Waupaca, a daughter of the late Cloyce Boutwell and Carmen (Falzbot) Penney.
 
She was married to Dick Erickson on Sept. 10, 1999, in Waupaca.
 
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Dawn Williams, Newburg; one son, Eric (Becky) Williams, Lyndon Station; two stepdaughters, Phyllis Ramone, Almond, and Marylee (Doug) Udick, Omro; three brothers, Richard (Margo) Boutwell, Waldorf, Md., Keith (Ardie) Penney, Waupaca, and Martin (Diane) Penney, New London; two sisters, Marjorie Raasch, West Allis, and Debra Penney, Georgia; and three grandchildren.
 
She was also preceded in death by her former husband, James Barker; one stepdaughter, Brenda Erickson; two sisters, Sharon Mohr and Sandra Boutwell; and one brother, Gerald Boutwell.
