Vernon H. Loehrke

Vernon H. Loehrke, Town of Saxeville, our beloved brother in faith, was called to glory on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at his home in the town of Saxeville. He was born on December 13, 1928, in the town of Saxeville, the son of the late William and Olga (Wegner) Loehrke. Vernon was an active member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in the town of Lind where he served many years on the council. He was baptized on December 23, 1928 and was confirmed on August 2, 1942 at Emmaus. On June 20, 1953 Vernon married Delores Peterson. Vernon farmed his entire life in the town of Saxeville on the homestead farm. He enjoyed farming, cutting wood, his garden, hunting and supporting and watching his children and grandchildren in their activities.

Vernon is survived by his wife, Delores, 3 sons: Jeff (Jean) Loehrke, Pine River; Jerry (Christine) Loehrke, Weyauwega; and Randy (Marge) Loehrke, Weyauwega; a daughter, Lori (Jerry) Reinert, Weyauwega, 13 grandchildren, Keith (Becky) Loehrke, Bobbie Joe (Kirk) Montgomery, Kelly Loehrke, Janet (Scott) Olson, Jimmy Loehrke, Tammy Loehrke, Brian Loehrke, Trisha Loehrke, P.J. Loehrke, Tara Reinert, Dustin Reinert, Stephanie Loehrke, and Brandon Loehrke, 8 step-grandchildren, David Buhrow, Jim (Inis) Buhrow, Tim Buhrow, Eric Buhrow, Lisa Haufschildt, James Haufschildt, Tiny Haufschildt, Brian Haufschildt, 7 great-grandchildren: Erin, Kyle, Katelyn, Logan, Allison, Ashley, and Lindsey; 3 step-great grandchildren, Noah, Sophia and Isaiah; 2 brothers, Norman (Cindy) Loehrke, Bob (Alice) Loehrke, a sister, Gertrude (Will) Raguse, a brother-in-law, Paul Timm, 2 sisters-in-law, Betty Loehrke and Eileen Loehrke, his wife’s sisters, Joan (Velmer) Timm, Karen Kimmel, and Jeanne (Harold) Falke, his godfather, Edwin Oehlke, a special cousin, Edna Ratzburg, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, Herb, and Eldor (Shorty), 2 sisters, Ruth Timm and Marion Kempf, his wife’s sister, Arletta Prill and granddaughter, Amy.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmaus Lutheran Church in the town of Lind, Rev. H. William Jordan will officiate. Burial will be in Lind Center cemetery in the town of Lind where he will remain awaiting the resurrection to Glory. Friends may call at the Lewin Funeral Home in Fremont on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. A Memorial fund has been established.

Vernon’s family would like to thank Dr. William Guenther and his staff at Appleton Medical Center and Riverside Medical Center for all of their love and care during this time.

Arleta Prill (Nee Peterson)

Arleta Prill, 46, Route 1, Pine River, died at 4:10 Thursday afternoon, January 11 at the Wild Rose Hospital. She was born March 16, 1925 in the town of Lind and was married September 2, 1949 in Waupaca to Walter Prill who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons: David, Dennis, and Michael and a daughter, Pamela, all at home. Her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Peterson, Waupaca and four sisters, Mrs. Vernon Loehrke, Mrs. Velmer Timm, Pine River, and Mrs. Marvin Fraedrich and Mrs. Harold Falke, Weyauwega.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 Monday afternoon, January 15 at Emmaus Lutheran Church, Town of Lind, with the Rev. Noel Koss, Pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Lind Center cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert M. Erickson, Harold Oehlke, Robert Magdanz, Leonard Schulke, Norman Loehrke, and Glen Timm.

Holly Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mae A. Sosinske

Mae A. Sosinske, 81, of Waupaca, died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at Appleton Medical Center. Her sister resides in Plover.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Waupaca. Burial will be in Lind Center Cemetery, Waupaca County town of Lind. Visitation is planned from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the church.

Born May 8, 1922, in the town of Lind, she was a daughter of Adrian and Ina (Hobson) Jacklin. She was married to Glen Sosinske on Jan. 4, 1941, in Waupaca. He died May 15, 1996.

Survivors include three daughters, Adrienne Sosinske, Margaret (Richard) Morey and Susan Rohloff, all of Waupaca; a son, Dennis (Sherri) Sosinske of New Berlin; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean (Wayne) Leonard of Plover

Mrs. Irene Wied. 79, Route 2, Almond, died at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Riverside Community Memorial Hospital, Waupaca. funeral services will b held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in the Town of Lanark. The Rev. Norman Fontaine will officiate. Burial will be held in the Lind Center Cemetery.

Friends may call today at the Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca, where a prayer service will be held at 8 o'clock.

Mrs. Wied was born July 31, 1891, in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Wood. She was married to Albertus Wied on March 5,1913, in Waupaca. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Wallace (Grace) Halverson, Almond, Mrs. Keith (Gwendolyn) Batten, Texford, Mont., Mrs. Charles (Virginia) Hammond, Waupaca, Mrs. Martin (Beverly ) Gagliano, Milwaukee, Mrs. Walter (Carol) Pavelski, Milwaukee; three sons, John, Amherst, Douglas and Robert, both of Milwaukee; one brother. Lawrence
Wood, Oakland Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Carroll, Redland, Calif., Mrs. Mabel Peterson, Calimesa. Calif.; 26 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
