Obituary Project and Requests The Waushara County Historical and Genealogy Society Obituary Project is an ongoing project which consists of clipping and filing obituaries of the people from Waushara County. This wonderful project would not be possible without the continued dedication of the volunteers. Obituary copies can be purchased for $3.00 per obituary. Upon receiving an obituary request/lookup via email or snail mail a volunteer will check the records to see if the society holds a copy of the requested obituary. When emailing an obituary request, please put OBITUARY REQUEST in the subject line. Once the request has been received, a search of their records will be done and a return email or letter will be sent. The response will inform you about the availability of the obituary/obituaries and the total cost. Once the society receives the total fees for copies, the copies will be sent to you. Please include your name, address and email (if available) with all correspondence. Please send obituary requests/look ups to the following address: Waushara County Historical and Genealogy Museum, 221 S. Ste. Marie St., P.O. Box 616, Wautoma, WI. 54982 OR email Wausharamuseum@yahoo.com.
Cemetery Look-ups Volunteers at the Waushara County Historical and Genealogy Society will do free look-ups in the Waushara County Cemetery transcriptions. Cemetery transcriptions will be checked for the surname requested and a complete list of persons (with requested surname) along with the cemetery name each person is buried in will be sent in the response. Email requests as well as mailed requests will be answered. One surname per email request! There is no limit to the number of surnames that can be requested. Email requests to Wausharamuseum@yahoo.com. In subject line put “Free Look-ups” Please send mail requests to Waushara County Historical and Genealogy Museum, 221 S. Ste. Marie St., P.O.
