Lea D. Morgan

Lea D. Morgan, 85, Amherst, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at his residence.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, with the Rev. Arveda Kirk officiating. Interment will be in the Sheridan Village Cemetery in the town of Farmington in Waupaca County.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Morgan was born Aug. 6, 1919, in the town of Lanark, a son of the late Frank L. and Beulah (Lea) Morgan.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was married to Lois Falzbot in May 1946 in King.

He was a member of Amherst United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Donald L. and Harold G. (Taffy), both of Amherst, and Larry, Waupaca; one daughter, Leanne (Bruce) Ritchie, Manchester, N.H.; one brother, Garth (Connie), Waupaca; one sister, Eunice Martin; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Carrie, Ruth and Eva Rae; and one brother, Harold.

Lois Morgan

Lois Morgan, 85, King, formerly of Amherst, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.

A memorial service was held Monday at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, with Pastor James Scott officiating. Burial was in Sheridan Village Cemetery in the town of Farmington in Waupaca County.

Visitation was at the funeral home Monday.

Mrs. Morgan was born Jan. 9, 1927, in Red Lodge, Mont., a daughter of the late John and Ethal (Peddler) Falzbot.

She was married to Lea Morgan on May 1, 1946, in King. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of United Methodist Church in Amherst where she taught Sunday school. She was also a 4-H leader.

Survivors include three sons, Donald and Harold (Taffy), both of Amherst, and Larry, Almond; one daughter, Leanne (Bruce) Richie, Derry, N.H.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Carmen Penny; two brothers, John Earl Falzbot and Bill Falzbot; and two grandsons

Raymond Pipe
 
Raymond Pipe, 88, Town of Lanark died Thursday night at Riverside Hospital, Waupaca.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p m Monday at the United Methodist Church, Amherst. The Rev. Theodore Jordan will officiate. Burial will be in Sheridan Cemetery, Town of Farmington, Waupaca County.

Friends may call after 3:30 p m Sunday at the Jungers Funeral Home, Amherst.

mr. Pipe was born May 19, 1889 in the Town of Lanark, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Pipe. He lived on the home farm all his life. He married Florence Anderson on Dec. 7, 1916 in Waupaca.

He was a past Town of Lanark chairman, a member of the Portage County Board and its Highway Committee and the Tomorrow River School Board and was Town of Lanark assessor.

Survivors include his wife, one son, William, Lanark, two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Marjorie) Johnson, Iowa Falls, Iowa and Mrs. Lynn (Carla) Schwede, Appleton, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Three sisters preceded him in death.

Nina E. Pipe

Nina E. Pipe, 91, Waupaca, former longtime Amherst area resident and town of Lanark native, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, at Harbor House in Wausau.
 
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Farmington Lutheran Church in Waupaca County, with the Rev. Mark Sabin officiating. Interment will be in the Sheridan Village Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the service.

Mrs. Pipe was born Dec. 28, 1915, in the town of Lanark, a daughter of the late Christian and Boletta (Kraig) Lawrence.
 
She was married to William E. "Bud" Pipe on Dec. 28, 1943, in Scandinavia. He died July 7, 1998.
 
She was an active member of the Farmington Lutheran Church and had been involved with the Ladies Aide and the Women's Quilting Group for many years.
 
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth (Donald) Hansen, Amherst, and Marie (Richard) Yohn, Waupaca; one son, Douglas (Diane), Prairie du Sac; seven grandchildren, including Jeffrey (Sandra) Hansen, Amherst, Gary (Lynette) Hansen, Nelsonville, Paul (Kimberly) Hansen, Plover, and Thomas (Heidi) Hansen, Amherst; two stepgranddaughters; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-stepgrandchildren.
 
She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Mary Reeve, Elsie Cartwright, Ann Rosin, Rosa Grulke and Effie McConnell; three brothers, John, William and Bob Lawrence; and one grandson.

Benjamin Paul Bell
 
Benjamin Paul Bell, 93, Waupaca, father of a Stevens Point man, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega.
 
Private memorial services will be held. Interment of cremains will be in Sheridan Cemetery in the town of Farmington in Waupaca County.

Mr. Bell was born Oct. 30, 1915, in Dodge City, Kansas, a son of the late Benjamin and Ann Elizabeth (Ward) Bell.
 
He was married to Louise H. Hutchinson.
 
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bruce (Jane Marie), Stevens Point, and Brion (Aralda Ann), Waupaca; three grandchildren, John Paul (Amy), Ian Bruce (Melissa) and Sean Brion; and three great-grandchildren.

Waupaca County Post, Waupaca, Wisconsin – April 1, 1937

David Morgan, born in Sheboygan County April 1, 1852 died at his home in Sheridan Saturday, March 20, 1937 lacking a few days of being 85 years old December 6, 1873.  He was united in marriage to Miss Phoebe Ross. 
Mrs. Morgan died March 10, 1924.  There were two children (Jennie) Mrs. Leo Mach, Sr. and son William.  Mr. and Mrs. Morgan settled on a farm about one mile from Sheridan where they lived until about 28 years ago when
they retired from active farm work.

Sue Ann Haase

Sue Ann Haase, 53, Waupaca, sister of a Stevens Point man, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, at her home.

Services will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Waupaca, with the Rev. Larry G. Gross officiating. Burial will be in the Sheridan Village Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church from 2:30 p.m. Tuesday until the services.

Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Haase was born March 4, 1947, in Chicago, Ill., a daughter of the Elizabeth Ann (Krebs) Engle and the late Vernon Engle.

She was married to Glenn Haase on Sept. 5, 1964, in Waupaca.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waupaca.

Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Mary Elizabeth (Brian) Vetter, Iola, Gina Marie (Dwight) Fisher, Fond du Lac, Heidi Joy Haase and Johanna Marie Haase, both of Waupaca; her mother, King, four brothers, Vernon (Peg) Engle, Stevens Point, Al Engle, Waupaca, and Rich (Fran) Engle and Dave (Pam) Engle, both of Appleton; two sisters, Violet (Gary) Strike and Carol (Steve) Buck, both of Waupaca; six grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Bob Engle.

Mrs. Robert Blair (Emma)

Mrs. Robert Blair
Graveside services will be held Sunday at 2 pm. at the Sheridan Cemetery for Mrs. Robert Blair, 83, a former Amherst and Almond resident who died Thursday at the Dane County Home in Verona after a five-year illness.

The Rev. Alden Lerohl of Faith Lutheran Church, Rosholt, will officiate at the burial rites..

The Fitch-Lawrence Funeral Home in Madison is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Blair. the former Emma Nelson, was born at Amherst Sept. 25, 1879. a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nels Nelson. She grew up at Amherst and as a young woman was a teacher at the Pipe School and the Lower Amherst School.

She married Mr. Blair In Amherst June 24, 1903. They lived on a farm near Sheridan after their marriage and then resided in Almond, Clintonville and Madison.

A brother, Gustave Nelson of. Galloway, is Mrs. Blair’s only immediate survivor. There are also several nieces and nephews.

Kenneth Morey
Kenneth Morey, 66, Route 4, Waupaca, died Saturday at Riverside Hospital, Waupaca. He was the brother of Alton Morey, 2824 Water St.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Farmington Lutheran Church. The Rev. Arthur Reesnes will Officiate. Burial will be in 
Sheridan Cemetery in Waupaca County. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Holly Funeral Home. Waupaca. and after 12:30 p.m.
Thursday at the church. 

Mr. Morey was born June 5, 1910. in the Town of Lind, Waupaca County. He married Elmira Strebe on Sept. 22, 1934, in Amherst Survivors include
his wife; two daughters, Mrs. David (Karen) Edwards, Menasha, and Mrs. Eugene (Marjorie) Larson, Waupaca; two sons. Richard and Edward. 
Waupaca: two brothers, Alton, 2824 Water St., and Eugene, Fort Worth, Tex.; and three grandchildren.
