Ethelyn L. Suits

Ethelyn Lorraine Suits, 90, Wisconsin Rapids, formerly of Ogdensburg, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Voie Funeral Home in Iola, with the Rev. Joan Frost officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery in the town of St. Lawrence in Waupaca County.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Monday until the service.

Mrs. Suits was born Dec. 27, 1919, in the town of St. Lawrence in Waupaca County, a daughter of the late Olaf and Ella (Knutson) Olson.

She was married to George Suits on July 23, 1939, in Waupaca. He died on Aug 3, 2006.

She worked at Whale Paper Company in Waupaca, which later became Glatfelter Paper in Neenah. She retired in 1975.

Survivors include one daughter, Valerie (Duane) Nygaard, Wisconsin Rapids; one son, William H. (Donna), Bedminister, N.J.; two sisters, Donna Gjertson, Iola, and Lavonne Waller, Fond du Lac; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. A. D. Shambeau, mother of S. D. Shambeau of this city died at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, following several weeks illness in Ogdensburg.  Funeral Services at which Rev. H. S. Vreeland of Baraboo will officiate will be this Saturday 2:30 p.m. at the home

Mabel S. Pagel

Mabel S. Pagel, 89, Waupaca, a town of Alban native, died Friday, March 11, 2005, at Crystal River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Waupaca.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, with the Rev. Charles Tews officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery in the town of St. Lawrence in Waupaca County.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Monday until the services.

Mrs. Pagel was born July 16, 1915, in the town of Alban, a daughter of the late William and Letta (Johnson) Marquard.

She was married to John A. Pagel on Nov. 10, 1934, in Iola. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca.

Survivors include two sons, Donald (June), Winter Haven, Fla., and John "Jack" Jr. (Diane), Waupaca; three daughters, Mavis (Harlen) Olson, Chapman, Kansas, Elaine (Wayne) Pederson, Rhinelander, and Sharon McKay, Waupaca; four sisters, Joyce Rath, Eileen (Norb) Kolz and Delores (James) Lewinski, all of Waupaca, and Janet (David) Haefle, Rhinelander; 16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, five sisters, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild
