The Weyauwegian - Weyauwega, WI - January 18, 1856

An aged citizen of this village, Mr. Aaron Fisher, met with a very serious accident yesterday. While walking upon the ice, he slipped and fell breaking the knuckle of the hip bone. The fact that a fracture of this kind cannot be, or is not often set, renders it a serious matter, which will probably maim the old gentleman for life. But a few days since, his wife, likewise an aged person, in a similar manner broke both bones of the leg, just above the ancle. She, however, is doing well in their old age.

FIRE - The dwelling house of JAS. MEIKLEJOHN, Esq. of Little Wolf, we learn was totally destroyed by fire on last Friday. Most of the furniture was saved. Loss in neighborhood of $800.
