Dear Children

Yours to Gearge of the K we received last Thursday night

Gearge read it with a greate deal of interist and asked a greate many questions about the explanation you gave of the Dedication and opening of your School and finaly remarked that he could not go to school in sutch a school as that where there were so many and he so backward.

We were al very mutch interested with it as we formed a very favourable opinion and feel very mutch interested with your situation and think you have reason to be proud of it yourselves.

I think you had good success in Chicago and made a quick trip.

Mr. tohmun? Thinks the climate wil not agree with Katy were she is and they have asked a number of questions about your school and I think would be in favour of her going in your school.

We had a very heavy rain her one week ago last Sunday and settled the snow very mutch but it turned cold in the night and froze the roads hard and we have the best of sleighing and about 10 inches of snow in the fields and woods.

Enclosed I send you eight dollar, wich I barrowed of you wen I was there.

I am mutch obliged far the use of it, We sold our two hogs at the Point far 10 ¼ cts per pound last weeke they weighed the two 756 pounds.

Mr. Lagrand was buried one week ago to day he Died with consumption.

Pofesar Haskel is talked of far their superintendent,  He that is teach the Badger School.

Do you think of Building in Waupaca next sumner if you do I would be glad to get your lumber & Shingles this winter and stick it up to season.

I think it can be bought cheap this winter for cash and the sleighing is so fine it can be got on the ground easier than in sumner.  The Specticles come al right, but your mother bought a pair in Berlin on the way home and I have lost mine now and the ones she bought sute me so it is alright.

Ed Bright is preaching at Waupaca,  He wil move his family this week and live in the house oasite the church ware Williams moved from a few days ago and Eld Post lived two years ago,  The case of Williams aginst Post was removed to Dodge Co but it is thought it wil not come to a trial,

With mutch love from your Parents
G C & Elen Van Horn
