This 1909 postcard has "Happy Gathering at the Melbys" handwritten near the bottom front. The back is addressed to Miss Etta Rasmussen, Scandinavia, Wis.  (She was a daughter of O.L. Rasmussen of Sheridan.)  It is inscribed "From Edna at the L.A.S. [Ladies' Aid Society] Apr. 7, 09".  There are seven girls in the front row.  The third from the left is either Palma or Minnie Johnson.  The fifth is Frances Krostue.  The sixth is either Minnie or Palma Johnson. There are eight women in the back row.  The third is Della Hellestad, Myrtle Hellestad's sister.  The fifth is Ruth Danielson.  The seventh is Kate Krostue. Can you identify the others? Sumitted by Merri Beth Nord nordr@earthlink.net
