Explanatory notes for the photo, August & Hennrietta (?) Jacob 50th Wedding Anniversary.

 

This photo was taken in Waupaca county, Caledonia township, one mile south of Readfield in 1906, at the
home of August Jacob. (see 1889 plat map segment) This plat map shows the close proximity and longevity
of those families in this picture. Often times neighbors married, as is the case with these folks.

The photo contains 93 people split into a right side containing persons 1 thru 41 and a left side
containing persons 42 thru 93.

Surnames on this photo include: Jacob, Ploetz, Schmid, Schmid(t), Schmitter, Wiesen and those yet unidentified.

As for the children seated on the ground in the foreground of the photo, we must first ascertain that the
child's parents are present and how many children the parents had by 1906 and what their age was.
