JACOBY OF EMBARRASS PASSES AWAY

Albert Jacoby, aged 28, son of Mr. & Mrs. Aug. Jacoby of Embarrass, died at the home of his parents yesterday morning after an illness of 6 months. The deceased was in the first draft this spring, being entrained at Detroit. He was first stationed at Camp Custer, later transferred to Camp Jordan in Georgia. It was at this Cantonment that he was taken ill and after examination by the physicians, it was decided that his trouble was such, as to make him unfit for military service, hence he was given an honorable discharge. Mr. Jacoby returned home where he has been since then, under the constant care of physicians. Although he has been a resident of this section for only 3 1/2 years he has made many friends who will be sorry to learn of his death. Besides his parents, 4 sisters, Mrs. H. Fritz; Mrs. M. Mason and C. Martin of Grand Rapids and Miss Esther at home; 5 brothers, Frank of Grand Rapids, Herman in the Army in Alabama, Arthur now in France, and Edwin and Louis at home, mourn his loss. The funeral services will be held at Embarrass and interment will be made at the Lutheran cemetery.
