EMBARRASS - Population 320. An incorporated village on the C. & N. W. Ry., and on the Embarrass River, a water-power stream, in Matteson Township, Waupaca county, 36 miles northeast of Waupaca., the county seat, 5 from Clintonville, the nearest banking point, and 160 from Milwaukee. First settled in 1860. Has Congregational and Lutheran churches and a graded public school. Telephone connection. Exp. Am. Thomas H. Buntrock, postmaster.
