CLINTONVILLE - Population, 2,000. Is located on Pigeon river and on the Ashland div. C & N W Ry, in Waupaca county, 35 miles northeast of Waupaca, the judicial seat, and 156 northwest of Milwaukee. It has Adventist, Catholic, 2 Congregational, 2 Lutheran and 2 Methodist churches, high and graded schools, electric light plant, an opera house, good hotels, 2 banks and a weekly newspaper, the Tribune.
