MANAWA - Population 1,000. An incorporated village on the Little Wolf River,
a water power stream and on the G. B. & W. R. R., in Little Wolf Township,
Waupaca county, 15 miles northeast of Waupaca, the judicial seat. Is lighted by
electricity and has Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran and Methodist churches, a bank,
an opera house, good hotels, a saw and planing mill and a flour mill. A weekly
newspaper-the Advocate-is published. Manawa has excellent water power facilities
