Vaughan June 2003 Committee on Public Property reported as follows: We have visited the Jail and Jail House and find every thing in good condition. We find the Jail and Jail House with few improvements. First there has been blinds put on the Jail House. Second we find in the Jail a new stove, and there has been some plastering and repairing in the same part of the building. We find little repairing is to be done, that is to build a few rods of new fence and to put a coat of paint on the woodwork out side the Jail House. We have examined the Court House and find the offices of county Treasurer, county Clerk and the Clerk of the Court, that there is nothing to protect the county Records from damage of fire and therefore we as a committee earnestly recommend that there be some means taken to construct a fire-proof building or deposit for our county papers. Andrew G. Nelson, G. I. Smith, J. H. Zastrow, John Pinkerton, Wm. Lozier – Committee Committee appointed to examine and report the amounts due Witnesses, Jurors reported from Justice Courts, reported as follows: Your Committee on Justice return of Witnesses, Jurors and Interpreters fees, report that the following persons are entitled to the amounts set opposite their respective names. |
